8. HOW DO YOU DO IT ? Planometric views are mainly used to show building interiors (rooms) to give a pictorial impression of how the room looks. However, Planometric views can be drawn for any object. For rooms drawn in Planometric, always start with the floor area, this can be shown rotated to an angle of 30 o /60 o or 45 o /45 o as shown. 30 o 60 o 45 o

9. DRAW IN THE FLOOR AREA Very faintly, draw in the footprint of the furniture on the floor plan. 30 o 60 o

10. CREATE THE BASE UNITS Project vertical lines upwards from each corner of the units. Then draw in the tops of the units. 30 o 60 o

11. NOW DRAW THE WALLS Project vertical heights from the corners of the room. 30 o 60 o

12. NOW ‘LINE IN’ THE ROOM Finally ‘line in’ the correct lines taking care to only draw over the edges that can be seen. 30 o 60 o
