6. THE LIGHT BULB 1.The light bulb revolutionized the world. 2.Imagine walking down streets with only candles lighting up the way. It would be a pain to light the candles and blow them out, right? 3.The light bulb changed all of this because now cities could be illuminated at night which meant people would stay out longer which meant businesses could stay open longer especially in the winter!

7. WHO INVENTED THE LIGHT BULB? 1. Thomas Edison … 2.did NOT invent the light bulb! 3.A man by the name of Humphrey Davy invented the first type of light bulb in 1806. However, it was too expensive and unrealistic for the everyday American to use.

SO WHO CARES ABOUT THOMAS EDISON THEN? 1.Thomas Edison did not invent the light bulb but he improved it significantly! 2.In 1880 he invented what is called an incandescent light which was a small light bulb that could be lit for hours upon hours of use. 3.This light was the first light bulb to be used practically by every American meaning it was very affordable to buy. This invention helped pave the way to lighting major cities and homes all across the world.
