Use plans to wire and light shoe box Relate this project to wiring a real house As work, you’ll see ways to improve plan and will change blue print Real builders see new possibilities and problems as they implement plans and they too have to make adjustments and changes as they work. If change something, make a new wiring diagram.

Box with batteries, battery holders, bulbs, bulb sockets, wires, and switch Shoe box Goodies that each student brought in to use Glue Scissors Tape Crayons or Markers Screwdriver to punch holes

Let me know if you need more material Ask for help from group members Switch needs to be inside the room Battery needs to be outside the room Draw a circle where want me to punch hole for bulb using the screwdriver.

Make wiring diagram, especially if change something. Take notes about what changed and why. What problems did you encounter? How did you resolve these problems? Decorate house. Present house to class.

Create another switch. Consider a room with two doors and one light. Put a switch by each door and wire the room so that either switch can be used to turn the light on and off. Write a story describing your house and how it was wired. Also, describe problems and how they were resolved.
