2 Breakfast Breakfast is an important part in English people’s eating culture. Traditional English breakfast is plentiful: fried eggs, bacon,sausage,roasted tomatoes,fried toasts, tea or coffee. Nowadays people eat simple breakfast: corn brittle slice with milk, or some fresh fruit to replace the wealthy traditional breakfast.

3 Lunch English people like to finish their lunch quickly.So they always make sandwiches in the morning and bring them out for lunch.It is convenient for them. Fish and chips are also popular for English people.They like to eat them for lunch,too.

4 Afternoon Tea English people’s afternoon tea comes from the 17 th century. There’s a duchess called Bedford. She always becomes hungry when it is close to the afternoon. However, English people’s dinner time hasn’t been ready yet. Hence, she always prepares some snacks so that she can eat whenever she is hungry. English people eat tea, sandwiches, scones and some cakes for the afternoon tea.

5 Dinner English people’s dinner is the most important meal. They have two main food. One is the meat and the other is vegetables. All of them will collocate with potatoes, so you will see many different kinds of potatoes cooking. Potatoes in England are almost as important as rice in Taiwan.
