6. Political Hitler came to power at this time and Laszlo’s grandfather died so the whole family had a difficult time during the war During the Holocaust, he was sent to concentration camp in Auschwitz (today Poland) and he survived the Holocaust

7. Religion In his father’s side of the family, they came from Austro-Hungarian Jewish family so they had no knowledge of religion His father didn’t practice any religious, he didn’t pray at all

8. Religion Laszlo’s grandfather on his mother’s side was, in fact, a very religious man He was an Orthodox Jew and he knew that one’s prayers is the most important manifestation In the family, religious from the point of view that his mother lit candles on Sabbath
