What Can You Do as a Parent???

Starting TONIGHT Mark test days on a calendar Use math to solve everyday problems Continue to build your child’s vocabulary Read everyday

The Week of the Test Prepare clothes each night before school. Clothes and shoes worn on testing days should be comfortable. Have your child to dress in layers. If your child wears glasses, make sure they have them on testing days.

Make sure that your child gets enough sleep each night before the test. Prepare a pleasant, relaxing evening everyday. Stick to your normal routine. Make sure you handle any unresolved issues involving your child after the test. The Week of the Test

Make sure that your child gets up early enough so that they will be at school ON TIME!! School starts at 8:00 a.m. and testing begins at 8:30 a.m. !!! Morning time should be calm and stress-free. If your child eats breakfast at home make sure it’s a healthy breakfast! Avoid heavy foods that may make them groggy and high-sugar foods that may make them hyper. The Week of the Test

Try your BEST NOT to remove your child from school on test days for appointments! Please have your child at school EVERYDAY! Make up Days The Week of the Test

If your child becomes seriously ill, please allow them to stay at home! Only give medications that your child usually takes The Week of the Test

Encourage your child to do their best!
