5 Nutrition Awareness seminar The zoology seminar room, Faculty of Science, University of Colombo was booked on 27th of November 2014 from 10am -11 am to conduct the nutrition awareness programme. The guest speaker, Dr. Nanada Dadallage was invited to deliver the lecture on food additives

6 Invitations were printed to invite the guests to the seminar A poster campaign was conducted to convey the message of the nutrition awareness programme

Development of a new food Green Tea Jelly Experiment for the comparison of Polyphenol content in a green tea jelly cup Green tea was successfully in co-operated with gelatin and Green tea jelly was prepared. Polyphenols in green tea was extracted in to a water methanol solvent and determined using spectro-photometry method.

The Leaflet and the Sticker prepared The leaflet containing adverse effects of fried foods, meal skipping and health benefits of eating vegetables, fruits and healthy eating habits. The sticker contains tips to avoid obesity and how become a healthy person.
