PLPR/W / ELP In English Room with 2 English Teachers, Teaching Assistant. 2 reading lessons + 2 writing lessons per week S E E Starts with shared reading (big books) with teachers on different topics or text types. Enjoy learning activities through stories, songs, rhymes, poems and interesting games. Ends up to produce individual writings on their own on different topics and text types. E.g. e-mails, diaries, surveys, reports and reply, recipes etc

Parent’s role on the two programmes Encourage your child to read more. Check your child’s school bag for the take home reader bag. Support through reading with your child or listening to your child’s reading at home. Sign on the reading record book. Remind your child to pay attention to the format of different forms of writings in daily life, e.g. cards, coupons, tickets, Encourage them to tell you more about what they learnt in school.
