5 Result 1 Organizing training programme/workshops for CSOs on usage of RTI on issues – NREGS, NRHM, Jnnurm, BN, SSA NGO leadership training programmes for minority groups- Delhi,Chattisgarh, Bihar and Rajasthan Orientation workshops for PRIA staff on Building conducive work environment at work place, women’s day celebrations, Knowing our rights, safety in workplace, effects of non verbal communication on work environment

6 Organizing training programmes for citizen leaders/citizen collectives, students, Govt. agencies and ERs on the use of RTI on various development schemes Organizing training programmes for WERs and women citizens on enhancement of leadership of women in interfacing with Governance institutions Organizing meetings and workshops with the state programem staff on project management

10 Other initiatives Virtual Platform on adult education Scholarships to 40 students (22 Women and 18 men) on PCE courses Course development: OH revision

11 Key Achievements (08) 500 Citizen collective and citizen groups mobilized 150 women were provided trainings and support on leadership The women have begun to demonstrate leadership in selected locations on sanitation issues, and have contested assembly elections

12 Key Achievements (08) 600 youth have been mobilised and supported 600 applications from citizens have been filed 300 Govt officials have been sensitised There is increase citizen engagement with LSGI in demanding accountability There is increasing inclination of the Govt. towards public disclosure under RTI

13 Key Achievements (06-07) Apprx 20,000 Ers were mobilized and sensitized About 30,000 CLs were moblised and sensitised 1600 Citizen collectives were sensitised 4000 participants from CSOs were trained on organisational and programme management

14 Challenges There is a disillusionment and lack of trust of citizens on governance. Most marginalized groups- Scheduled Castes and Tribes and Women face discrimination and exclusion in the political structure and continue being marginalised due to lack of participation and leadership Lack of sensitization and knowledge of policy makers on ‘inclusive developmental processes’ to engage citizens and marginalized groups
