Kindergarten Learning Targets Write a complete sentence using a capital letter at the beginning, punctuation at the end and spaces between words. Read a simple, unfamiliar text. Count to 100 by 1’s, 5’s and 10’s. Add and subtract sets of 10 concrete objects.

PALS Two assessments will occur: -Fall -Spring Phonological Awareness Literacy Screening Support students by working on uppercase and lowercase letter recognition tracking Fall results will be shared at our conference.

Gradebook and Parent Portal The link for the ParentVUE Parent Portal can be found on the Lovettsville Webpage. ParentVUE will be open for parents of students in grades K-12 on September 15, 2015. Activation letters will be mailed to all parents with educational rights on September 11, 2015 (expected delivery September 12-18). Volunteers Complete an LCPS Volunteer form tonight, or print one out from the LES website. Sign up in the classroom tonight, letting us know how and when you prefer to volunteer. (Center Helper, Party Planners, Directory Organizer, Volunteer Coordinator, Mystery Reader) We would love to have you in as soon as possible.

We have a 10 minute snack break every day. Please send one item to eat and a small drink. We ask that you avoid nut products due to severe allergies in our classroom. Snack

Things to do tonight: Find your child’s name sign on a table. Look at his/her “All About Me” poster. Find your child’s self portrait. Find your child’s artwork in the hall. Sign up for a conference. (Take a reminder if you’d like one.) Complete the LCPS Volunteer Form. Sign up to Volunteer in our Classroom.
