PLASMA CELLS EMBRYONIC STEM CELLS

CANCER CELLS

Lung Cells. Lung cells Lung cells. Cancer lung cells.

Cell membrane Water exist Between the Two lipid Layers.

Cell membrane

Plasma membrane in Amoeba

CELL MEMBRANES ARE SEMI-PERMEABLE. Some molecules Can enter and some molecules cannot enter. Energy can enter the cell Too. Protons and electrons can come into and out of the cell. This Movement of CHARGE gives cells an electrical nature. Cells take Advantage of this charge to help with cell metabolism. Water is an important molecule to the cell. Water molecules cluster Or stick together. Water molecules have a positive electric charge On one end of the molecule and a negative charge on another end Of the molecule. The Hydrogen molecule has a positive charge and Oxygen has a negative charge. The bond that holds water molecules Together in liquid form is called the Hydrogen bond. Water is a Polar molecule. Nonpolar molecules have no electric charge.

The cell membrane is made of Phospholipids. The outer edges Of the membrane are electrically charged. The region between The two layers is neutral. Many food molecules have charges And the charges on the cell membrane help food pass through.

Cells can be prokaryotic or eukaryotic. Inside the cell the CYTOSOL area contains cytoplasm. This is the “GOO” inside the cell. Eukaryotic cells have ORGANELLES. Plant cells differ from animal cells in that plants have a cell Wall. And many plants have Chloroplasts. Write in the function of: 1.Mitochondria: 2. Endoplasmic Reticulum:

3.Golgi Apparatus: 4.Ribosomes: 5.Lysosomes: 6.Nucleus: 7.Vacuoles: 8.Cell Membrane: 9.Chloroplast:
