New trend and joint ventures
Production of nanocomposite of Epoxy/Clay/Carbon Nanotubes CINVESTAV-Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina (UDESC)-ITESM Electrically conductive polymer composites made with carbon nanotubes are of growing interest for a variety of applications such as: electrostatic dissipation, photovoltaic devices, and electromagnetic Interference (EMI) shielding.
19
- Conductive polymer composites require a three
dimensional network to impart electrical conductivity Clay was introduced into single-walled carbon nanotube/epoxy composites to improve nanotube dispersion without harming electrical conductivity or mechanical performance - The montmorillonite clays, they have a layer based morphology, which spaces between such layers could be filled with material like water, gypsum, sand, other soil groups, lime, and organic additives or CARBON NANOTUBES to avoid the volumetric changes.
