INTRODUCTIONINTRODUCTIONINTRODUCTIONINTRODUCTION The clearing of tropical forests across the Earth has been happening on a large scale basis for many years. This process, involves the cutting down, burning, and damaging of forests. If the current rate of deforestation continues, the world's rain forests will vanish within 100 years-causing unknown effects on global climate and the majority of plant and animal species on the planet. The clearing of tropical forests across the Earth has been happening on a large scale basis for many years. This process, involves the cutting down, burning, and damaging of forests. If the current rate of deforestation continues, the world's rain forests will vanish within 100 years-causing unknown effects on global climate and the majority of plant and animal species on the planet.

How does deforestation occur? Deforestation occurs in many ways. Most of the clearing is done for agricultural purposes- grazing cattle, planting crops. Commercial logging is another common form of deforestation, cutting trees for sale as timber or pulp. Commercial logging uses heavy machinery, such as bulldozers, road graders, and log skidders, to remove cut trees and build roads, which is just as damaging to a forest overall as the chainsaws are to the individual trees. There are other reasons for deforestation, such as to construct towns or dams which flood large areas. Yet, these reasons contribute to only a very small part of the deforestation.

Where does deforestation effect the world.

Damaged caused by deforestation.

Rate of deforestationRate of deforestation By most estimates, the world’s forests continue to disappear at an alarming rate. Logging, fires, and land-clearing for agriculture and grazing account for most of the loss. In some places, the green Earth is turning to desert. if deforestation continues the rainforests across earth will be gone within the next 100years.

HOW IS THE PROBLEM BEING MANAGED? decreasing the need for the amount of products that are harvested from the rainforests. decreasing the need for the amount of products that are harvested from the rainforests. Enforcing recycling. Enforcing recycling. More trees being planted. More trees being planted. Other solutions involve money. Other solutions involve money.

what will happen next? Deforestation is a major problem in the world. Effort to stop or slow deforestation have been attempted for many years. With the pressure on the government to stop deforestation, I think that the government will imply new laws that are very strict, and the result will, I think be effective with deforestation slowing dramatically.
