Cities Texas has big cities: Dallas and Houston. Phoenix, Arizona and Albuquerque, New Mexico are large cities. Las Vegas is a large city.

Transportation There is not much public transportation in the Southwest. Most people drive cars. Houston Arizona

Public transportation Dallas has buses. Dallas added a train in 1996. It is 85 miles (136.8 kilometers). Houston has buses. Houston added a train in 2004. The train is only 8 miles (13 kilometers).

Unions The Southwest states have few union members. Only New Mexico has more unions. Red states have few unions, blue states have many unions.
