2.  It was founded by Charles Goodnight and John George Adair in 1877,  It was founded when the rail road was built across Texas.

3.  The town was originally called Oneida,  They later decided to call it Amarillo which means yellow,  In 1925 Amarillo grew bigger because they earned money because of oil, gas and wheat,  Amarillo is on the boarder of New Mexico and Oklahoma.

4.  Today there are 190,695 people living in Amarillo.

7.  On the Cadillac Ranch you can see graffiti painted Cadillac’s stuck to the ground.
