WORSHIP 2 LHoly God, holy and mighty, holy and immortal, Chave mercy and hear us. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen

Worship - 2 3 C. I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT AND BORN OF THE VIRGIN MARY. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen

7
Discussion & reflection: 7 What is adultery? : voluntary sexual intercourse between a married man and someone other than his wife or between a married woman and someone other than her husband
8
Discussion & reflection: 8 Are there other words for adultery? How about… 1. Cheating 2. Two-timing 3. Infidelity 4. Unfaithfulness Can you think of any other words???
9
Discussion & reflection: 9 What if you’re not married? Fornication: consensual sexual intercourse between two persons not married to each other
10
Discussion & reflection: 10 Is there anything wrong with adultery and fornication? Give me your best reasons for and against!
11
Discussion & reflection: 11 What does God say? Exodus 20: 14 “You shall not commit adultery. Leviticus 20: 10 “If a man commits adultery with the wife of his neighbor, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death. Proverbs 5: 5 My son, be attentive to my wisdom; incline your ear to my understanding, 2 that you may keep discretion, and your lips may guard knowledge. 3 For the lips of a forbidden woman drip honey, and her speech is smoother than oil,
12
Discussion & reflection: 12 Proverbs 6: 32 He who commits adultery lacks sense; he who does it destroys himself. Jeremiah 3: 8 She saw that for all the adulteries of that faithless one, Israel, I had sent her away with a decree of divorce. Yet her treacherous sister Judah did not fear, but she too went and played the whore. 9 Because she took her whoredom lightly, she polluted the land, committing adultery with stone and tree. 10 Yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah did not return to me with her whole heart, but in pretense, declares the L ORD.”
13
Discussion & reflection: 13 Hosea 4:14 I will not punish your daughters when they play the whore, nor your brides when they commit adultery; for the men themselves go aside with prostitutes and sacrifice with cult prostitutes, and a people without understanding shall come to ruin. Matthew 5: 27 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ 28 But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
14
Discussion & reflection: 14 Mark 10: 10 And in the house the disciples asked him again about this matter. 11 And he said to them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her, 12 and if she divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.” Romans 13: 9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
15
Discussion & reflection: 15 So…we can see that our God does not like adultery. Nor fornication. Is that just a big NO, or is there a reason? 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
16
Discussion & reflection: 16 Let’s get this straight! 1. You do not belong to you. You belong to God. God saves His own! 2. Your body is not your own. Your body belongs to God. It is the temple of the Holy Spirit. 3. Therefore, sex is for marriage and only for marriage!
