Obtain a short story packet and put your name on it. When you have done so, flip through it and preview some of the information.

HMWK: Online SAT (or ACT) review on USATestPrep: Week #7 Read and annotate “The Scarlett Ibis” by James Hurst for TOMORROW!!! Continue collecting words, four a week, but now, you must collect THREE vocabulary words and ONE spelling word! Have your annotations out and read to be checked. You should have been thorough with your close reading, a thorough as we were when we were reading yesterday. Anything less will result in a zero.

As it was before, have your short story packet out and ready to be checked. Once it is, we will have a quiz. Afterwards, we will discuss the story as a class.

HMWK: Online SAT (or ACT) review on USATestPrep: Week #7 Make sure you are prepared for TOMORROW! Continue collecting words, four a week, but now, you must collect THREE vocabulary words and ONE spelling word! Who was the “Misfit”, where did his name come from, and overall, what did he represent?

5 27 March 2015: Today’s Agenda: 1.Test on Ethan Frome HMWK: Online SAT (or ACT) review on USATestPrep: Week #7 Complete your reading and annotation of the short stories in the packet for Wed. 4/8/15 Continue collecting words, four a week, but now, you must collect THREE vocabulary words and ONE spelling word! Today, you will have a test on Ethan Frome by Edith Wharton. As of today, you have had more than two weeks to make sure the novel was read. If you read, you should be fine and do quite well.
