2. ACCEPTANCE-WEEK 1 Monday –Discuss ways that people can show acceptance at school. “Accepting others will take you far in life.” Tuesday-Think of a time that you said something hurtful to a friend. How did it make you feel? How did you fix the situation so that you all could still be friends? Wednesday- Discuss the quote: “No person is your friend who demands your silence, or denies your right to grow.” Alice Walker Thursday- What does it mean to be a part of the TCS community? Friday- Why is it important in life to be accepting of others?

3. ACCEPTANCE-WEEK 2 Monday- Holiday. Tuesday- Explain the quote “You don’t need someone to complete you. You only need someone to accept you completely.” Wednesday- Discuss the quote “The more you know who you are, and what you want, the less you let things upset you.” Unknown Thursday-Think of words that will encourage others to be more accepting of others. Friday- Why is it respectful to be accepting of other cultures?

4. ACCEPTANCE-WEEK 3 Monday-Discuss why it is OK to be different from everyone else. Tuesday- Discuss the quote: “Beauty is about being comfortable in your own skin. It's about knowing and accepting who you are.” Ellen DeGeneres Wednesday- What does it mean to accept the faults of others? Thursday- Have the students think of a time when they felt that they were treated differently. How did that make them feel? Friday- Accepting that others may not think the way that you do is an important lesson to learn. Why?

5. ACCEPTANCE-WEEK 4 Monday- “Letting go doesn't mean that you don't care about someone anymore. It's just realizing that the only person you really have control over is yourself.” Author of “Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul.” Tuesday- Explain about “Mix it Up at Lunch”-Thursday. Wednesday- Discuss ways to begin a lunch conversation with new peers. Thursday- -“Mix it Up at Lunch”-today. Friday-Teacher Work Day-No school for Students!
