5 News Upcoming Workshops Next Year Scheduling – Part I –(scheduling for 2011-12 school year) Secondary schools, be looking for announcements for Next Year Scheduling Part I. Elementary schools will be offered Next Year Scheduling in June as usual.

11 Attendance Web Student\Office\Attendance\ Attendance by Student & Attendance by Date (renamed Attendance Entry) The following updates have been made to Attendance Entry and Attendance by Student screens to increase ease of data entry. 1.The Attendance by Date button renamed to Attendance Entry. 2.The Add Button on the attendance by date, now Attendance Entry screen, changed to Enter Attendance. 3.Attendance Entry screen now loads in same window as browse rather than a popup window. 4.The Student EEL now picks closest student when enter pressed. 5.Alt+S now does the same thing as clicking Save and Add Another. This button is now a ‘Hot Key’. 6.Added icon next to student name to allow access to student information.

34 Secondary Gradebook Post Grades Option Configuration WS\EA\Gradebook\Secondary Gradebook\Product Setup\Configuration\Posting District Setup (Note: this a DISTRICT Wide) When selecting ‘Allow Teachers to Manually Post…’ teachers will have the ability to post grades for specific students. For example: The last day to post is Wednesday. A teacher posts all grades on Monday. A student finishes some work and the teacher wants to post a new grade him/her. This option would allow the teacher to post for only this student.

35 Secondary Gradebook Post Grades Option Configuration WS\EA\Gradebook\Secondary Gradebook\Product Setup\Configuration\Posting District Setup When choosing ‘Allow Teachers to Manually Post….’, the district may choose posting for all Grading Periods or posting for OPEN Grading Periods.

36 Secondary Gradebook Post Grades Option *** NOTE *** WS\EA\Gradebook\Secondary Gradebook\PS\CF\Posting District Setup If your district is set to ‘Automatically Post Gradebook Grades to the Report Card for Open Grading Periods’, only the EXCLUDED Class Sections will be available for manual posting grades.

37 Secondary Gradebook Post Grades Option EA+\My Gradebook\Posting\Post Grades (secondary gradebook only) This new option appears. Select all flags all grades and comments to post. Unselect all removes the flags.

38 Secondary Gradebook Post Grades Option EA+\My Gradebook\Posting\Post Grades (secondary gradebook only) The Select All adds and removes the flag too. This is an on/off toggle. S1 is the Semester 1 column and C1 is the comment column.
