2. WHAT IS A SILVERBACK GORILLA A silverback gorilla is a really strong and muscly gorilla which is also commonly known as a mountain gorilla. The reason why they are called a silver backed gorilla is because of there distinctive silver/white back that they get from 13 years from birth, which is were they hit adulthood.

3. GENERAL INFORMATION They are mammals They eat just like us because they are an omnivore There average life span is 35 years of age There group name is called either a troop or band

4. SIZE/WEIGHT They are a Standing height of 4 to 6 ft (1.2 to 1.8 m). Which is relative to a 6-ft (2-m) man. There weight is an astonishing 300 to 485 lbs (135 to 220 kg)

5. HABITAT/LOCATION These gorillas live on the green, volcanic slopes of Rwanda, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo—areas that have seen much human violence from which the gorillas have not escaped unscathed. Nearly half live in the forests of the Virunga mountains in central Africa.

6. WHY THEY ARE ENDANGERED Due to detrimental human activity, such as poaching, civil war, and habitat destruction, the mountain gorilla, a subspecies of the eastern gorilla, has become the most endangered type of gorilla
