In order to add and subtract fraction you must have a common denominator. - If you have a common denominator, simply combine like terms in the numerator. - If you DON’T have a common denominator, work carefully to create one. - Always ask yourself, “What does this denominator need that is doesn’t already have?” - Always factor factorable denominators, this will help find the LCD quicker.
