4 The steps in serving dessert 1.Ask the guest if they are ready to order dessert “May I take your dessert order now?” “Are you ready to order dessert?” 2. Write down the order and coffee on the dessert form 3. Suggest the house specialty “ Our home-made ice creams are very good” 4. Give one copy to cold kitchen 5. 6 Steps in making coffee 1.The coffee machine and other equipment for making hot drinks are kept in pantry 2.To make two cup of cappucino, first, fill the filter with ground coffee 3.Attach the filter to the machine 4.Put cups under the two spouts on the filter 5.Press the button for two cups 6.The machine dispensed coffee into the cups 7.Put a jug containing cold milk under the nozzle Bina Nusantara University 6

7 Steps in making coffee 8. Let the steam froth up the milk 9. Pour the milk and froth into the cups and sprinkle on some powdered chocolate 10. To make espresso, use a single-spout filter and a demitasse 11. Attach the filter to the machine and press the correct button 12. 8 Important phrases Strong coffee = coffee that has more flavour or taste Espresso = a strong coffee that is usually drunk without a milk Cappuccino = coffee served with milk that is made frothy by steam Froth [milk] = milk contains many small bubbles Demitasse = a French word meaning a half-sized cup.
