1. SINJ ANA KRANJČEC

2. Sinj is a town in Croatia, which administratively belongs to the Split- Dalmatia County. According to the 2011 census, the city has 24,826 inhabitants. Sinj is world-famous by Alka, a knight game which is held since the beginning of the 18th ceuntry, as a sign of victory over the Turkish conquerors.

3. From the beginning, the people of Sinj and it´s defenders attributed that victory to the miraculous intercession of Our Lady of Sinj, whose image was in the fort during the whole siege.

4. In Sinj one of the largest Croatian Marian shrines. The feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary on 15th August is the biggest celebration every year. Abun – pilgrims come to Sinj with only one goal – kneel down and close hands before the miraculous Lady of Sinj.

5. Numerous piles of rocks in the south of Croatia are actually burial mounds. These piles meet at Pode (highlands) above the field, in prominent positions, and originate from the turn of the Neolithic to the metal age.
