About 5 children and it 5 children and it is about 5 children (Robert, Anthea, Cyril, Jane and their baby brother, known as the Lamb) who discover a Psammead a mythical sand fairy, it has ears like a bat, eyes that were on stalks and a tubby body shaped like a spiders its arms and legs were like gorilla’s and it’s entire body is covered in fur. The Psammead is the only one of it’s kind and is allergic to water it grants wishes that almost always go wrong but disappear after sunset. This book was made into a movie and had many sequels made.
