3. INFORMATION Mother Teresa was a Roman Catholic nun who helped the only catholic religious order. For her work among the poor and dying she won the Noble Prize for Peace in 1979. At age 12 she got a call to help the poor. Mother Teresa Founded the Missionaries of Charity She was dedicated to the very poor The community includes more then 4,500 sisters of various nationalities who worked on the five continents. Their main goal was to provide love and dignity to the poor people in their last days on earth.
