Thesis StatementThesis Statement Between the years of 1970-1990 the increase rates of sexual abuse by priests with young children ran high and embarrassed the church, leaving it with a stigma of having child-molesting priests amongst clergy.

Sexual AbuseSexual Abuse Emotional The kid might become depressed and/or stressed Mental The child might not trust people The child will lose interest in many things. Physical The Child will no longer be active Spread of diseases and viruses

Effect of Abuse Families, Victims, & Churches Most of the families push away the other family members away People would stop going to the church causing the churches to close and people to lose the services the church provides The victims go to different kinds of therapies

Conclusion Many priest do not get a hard enough punishment for breaking so many laws. Many innocent people are scared and scarred. In Many countries they are now speaking out and starting a new life. A life they will not regret. Many priest who had sexually abused children or just people all together still works in churches. I feel like many priest do not want their homosexuality to be known so they prefer to go after young people so they can not tell.
