SAAPA Brief background. A good idea with many giants to face and this David had no sling or stones. Problems a. Complicated system and scoring. b. Perceived as biased.

FPASA

Unity is Strength Its time to create a fair platform for young artists in the arts, that will inspire, grow, mature stretch and challenge them to achieve their goals and dreams. Where hard work pays off and talent is recognised.

FPASA We need to create a united and fair structure with a recognised high standard of : Judging and Judges Scoring and scoring systems. Criteria for performer and judge. recognition from a body not only a competition.

FPASA A team that goes as team SA FPASA wearing with pride the uniform, instilling in each performer the pride and responsibly that goes beyond only personal talent and achievement, but team and ambassadors of their country. If 2 – 3 major players will do this we will be able to achieve this goal.

The NO NO We can not compromise our standards for: Money over Talent Self gain over Love of the Arts Tyranny over Theatre Titles over Passion Politics over Performance

FPASA We have the performers now lets unite them under one umbrella while we still nature and create within our competitions such as: NEA SATCH Talent Africa IDC SA International Dance Competition. WADF World Artistic Dance Federation. International Princess Pageant USA International Princess Pageant RSA Tygerberg Eisteddfods Jabulani Talent America USA Others Each of these competitions will create unique and special moments developing different artists in different environments. Just as the DNA is Unique it still makes up one BODY.

The next 10 Years Together we can create and make a mark, I ask you and me lets make that mark, lets all be proud, lets be united and stop the corruption of the Bad Apple so that the reputation of The Big Apple my continue. What is our mark?

The Arts At present we have: Jaco van Rensburg Pieter Toerien Sonja Heraldt Oakfields And a few others getting behind the incentive of uniting the performing arts under FPASA

Educational Institutions. They are confused: We are to blame we have so many competitions with no body to acknowledge the achievements, so to who do they award cultural achievements. Thus bribery of cultural heads or payments to accept only 1 competition has been transpiring If we want fairness from the schools towards our performers, let us give them the solution

The Government I am talking to a few heads of culture but it is hard: The reward: The hope that someday we will have full government recognition. The process: 1 step at a time The gain: An umbrella, a uniform that says we are united we have achieved we are proud.

FPASA The costs: R150 per annum commencing from staring date. R850 Track Suits Provincial federation and International federation. Certificates from FPASA free with qualification R1000 Sport Jacket R200 Badge District level If a member looses a certificate or other article they will have to buy a new one.

SATCH & Talent Africa Any performer making it to nationals and representing their province at the said event will obtain Provincial Federation colours. Any performer having obtained Gold and that then accompanies either Talent Africa or SATCH on one of the recognised international competitions will achieve International Federation colours.

FINANCES & COMITEE Committee will be made up of members from interested parties eg representatives from the before mentioned Bodies. Finances will be open to be viewed by financial board selected by the committee. 10% of annual profit will go to a charity or person/s for support of a trip or venture related to the performing arts. Decision will be made by majority vote of the committee.
