Globalization encompasses: Financialization form of capitalism in which financial markets dominate over the traditional industrial economy Deterritorialization Regional, national and continental organizations pressure to integrate the world in one economic system Multinationalism (increase of global corporations) Internationalization (increase of trade and investment) Liberalization (freeing markets) Technological Changes (IT Revolution) Universalization (increased cultural exchange) Westernization (Western cultural dominance)

Economic: Global economic integration can be a powerful force for increasing incomes and hence improving health and other aspects of welfare. Theoretically, globalization can help improve living standards in developing countries
