Cooperative Group Procedures
Assigned seating --- students are assigned to a seating chart every 9 weeks. Transitions --- each class will be timed and compared to other classes. Cooperative groups (timed) 1-stand move sit Working in groups leader, 2-materials manager, 3-reporter, 4-recorder Getting out of cooperative groups (timed)

Cooperative Grouping 4 roles per group: 1 piece of post-it graph paper
Leader Recorder Reporter Materials manager 1 piece of post-it graph paper 4 colors

Materials: Materials manager has 1 minute to get all materials needed then return to the group. One piece of post-it graph paper 4 colors/marker

1st operation: Leader divides paper into 4 equal rectangles.
Each group member uses a different color & writes/draws a REAL WORLD example of an event that must be done in a specific order example taking a shower, baking a cake, etc…

2nd operation: The leader and reporter from each group will share/discuss the group’s posters What is the importance of the order of events?

Create 2 problems that cannot be done simply as written, but must truly be evaluated by using order of operations. This problem can be done as seen. ∙ 3 −2 This problem requires PEMDAS.
