2. THERMALCOND is a European collaborative project aiming to develop a NOVEL COLLECTOR containing plastics components with high efficiency, low cost and less weight structures compared with metallic collectors

3. 8 partners from 5 different European countries

Developments: Thermally conductive nanocomposites where the conductivity is achieved through a mixture of nanofillers and the resulting product retains processing and improve properties of the original polymer. A novel and specific surface technology based on nanotechnology providing a conversion of whole light incident radiation to a phonon energy enabling thermal transfer to a conductive polymer substrate such as a pipe containing water.

5. Project Status Thermal conductive compounds have been sucssesfully developed. The Coating Developed applied to collector parts have increased considerably the efficiency. Collector designs are been developed to fulfill all collector requirements.
