Preserve entities controls, Local mesh controls and Mesh pattern controls are listed under mesh control. Node sets and element sets are listed under set control. User can modify the controls by double click on the mesh or set control. Right click on the mesh control lists the show, hide and empty option. This will show or hide the selected mesh control entities. Assembly Tree View

Static loads, Thermal loads, Constraints, Connections, Interactions and contacts are grouped and displayed under LBC tree view. Nodes and Element sets are displayed under set. Bolt head, Bolt thread, Bar pretension, Solid pretension etc, are listed under automation objects. User can modify the loads by double click on the LBC. Assembly Tree View

This will help user to find the picked entities and correct it before using them in any dialog box or application. There are three options to clear the selected entities list, 1) Deselect all button clears all the items in the selected list. 2) Deselect geometry button clears only the geometrical entities. 3) Deselect FEM clears only the FEM entities. Each item in list can also be selected and deleted using the delete key. Deselect all Deselect geometry Deselect FEM Selection Window

Example: If you need to pick a Face on a body, select the third button (Face) in the selection filter toolbar, followed by a left button click on the graphics screen. When you move the mouse over body, entities will highlight and after picking they will highlight in a contrast color. Rectangle-Use the left mouse button to drag and create a box to pick all the enclosed entities. Polygon-Use the left mouse button, create line segments to create a polygon and close the polygon near the first point. Intersection-Use left mouse button to drag and create a line segment. The line which passes through the entity will be picked. (This is only for element and edges). Single + Rect-Both single and rectangular picking can be done. Enclosed-This works same as rectangle, but only the fully enclosed items will be picked. View Setting Toolbar

View Setting Toolbar Visible - This is also similar to rectangle picking but only the visible items will be picked. Pick Through Transparency-This option will select the non transparent face through the transparent face. Deselect Only-This will deselect the selected entities, if this flag is ON, then the selected entities will be deselected corresponding to the selection filter behavior

Rotation Center (M) : To change the rotation center of the model by clicking the rotation center button and picking a node / element (FEM geometry model) or picking edge / vertex / face (CAD geometry model), to move the default rotation center to the center of the picked entity. Zoom (Z) : Use the left mouse button to create rectangular area of interest, it will display the zoomed view of desired area to the full screen. Scribble Zoom (Shft + Z ) : This option enables free hand scribbling to zoom the area of your interest by just doing a scribble on the desired area. Reset View (F) : This option brings back the whole model to the view area. View Setting Toolbar

In the same way user can remove one layer of faces/elements. Capture Image : To take a screen shot of display window by changing the background and gradient settings. These colour settings are applicable only for capturing images. Delete Entities : To delete the selected entities. View Setting Toolbar

FEM Model-This toggle automatically turned on if FEM model is present in the display window. Load-To show the entire load marker in display window. Mesh Control-To display all the mesh control present in the display window. Results-To display the result visibility. Explode-Assembly model shows each component of the model separated from other components. View Setting Toolbar

CAD Model Shaded-It displays the model with colour shading. Wire Frame-It displays only the face edge of the model. Face Edge-This will highlight all the face edge in the model. Fast Rotate-Hides the shaded display while rotating the model. Only the face edge will display while rotating the model. This will improve rotation performance for large models. View Setting Toolbar

Wire Frame-To display only the edges and element edges of the model. Rotate With Edges-Face edges and element edges are displayed during rotation. Rotate with LBC's-This will display the load marker during rotation. Face Edge-To turn on / off of the face edges present in the model. Element Edges-To turn on / off the element edges present in the model. Quadratic Element-This will display the exact mid node position of the higher order elements. Free Edge Boundary-It displays only the free edges without displaying the layers.

Create Group Entities of unique type like face, edge, vertex, element, element edge and node can be grouped together by assigning a name. This group can be used to apply mesh controls, LBC. Applying mesh controls and LBC using group will take all the entities belonging to that group. Transfer Group Group information in CAD bodies can also be transferred to FEM bodies. Transfer of group is based on CAD ids of entities. View Setting Toolbar
