Information sharing Repository Work Process SOURCE Well defined data according to ISO 15926
3
OLF has focus on data Data Domain - OLF has focus on terminology (ISO 15926) (3 levels of data integration - Dictionary - Taxonomy - Ontology) IT - OLF has focus on transformation and routing (Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and iRing) Availability and quality of data is the basis for: work processes operational decisions
4
IO G2 requires information sharing in real time! Integrated Operations (IO) Generation 1 and Generation 2 IO is real time data onshore from offshore fields and new integrated work processes.
5
Information Strategy for IO Vendor Smarter data Field data Health, safety, environment Seismic Drilling & Completion Reservoir & production Operation & maintenance Logistics Transportation Common XML schemas Smarter solutions Operator Web portals Web services Semantic Web Infrastructure for web services Oil & Gas Ontology 1) Based on ISO 15926 An efficient pipeline for real-time data transfer 1) Ontology = A hierarchical data structure containing concepts, relationships, properties and rules for a specific domain

How to get started with the oil and gas terminology and ontology? InitiatorStandardizationOperation Daily Drilling Report Daily Production Report Monthly Production Report Yearly Environmental Report IOHN - Drilling - Production - Operation & Maintenance - IT Architecture (ESB) RFID NorHub (equipment information) Reference Data System RDS RDS (includes PRODML) RDS RDS - in progress - RDS RDS – in progress January 1, 2009 - July 1, 2010

E&P Information Management Association (EPIM) EPIM was established by and for the operators on the NCS for managing common industry solutions such as: LicenseWeb AuthorityWeb EnvironmentWeb EPIM has also the management of the content (semantic) and the format of the XML schemas used for: Daily drilling report Daily production report Monthly production report From July 1, 2010, EPIM will be the owner and operator of NorHub, a repository for standard equipment information. www.epim.no http://www.epim.no/visartikkel.asp?id=1251

IO in the High North (IOHN) The joint industry project IOHN was initiated by Abelia, FSi and OLF and it shall provide solutions for IO G2 IOHN is structured according to OLF’s Information Strategy with pilots in drilling, production and operation Budget approximately NOK 100 millions https://www.posccaesar.org/wiki/IOHN

- a common repository for equipment NorHub will be covering at least 80% of the standard equipment in use in the E&P sector Initiated by OLF and owned and operated by EPIM Data sheets according to ISO 15926 http://www.norhub.no/ http://www.norhub.no/

Deployment RFID in oil and gas Deployment of RFID in oil and gas – an OLF Guideline for: Personnel Containers Drill strings Mobile equipment Fixed equipment The guideline is based on ISO standards http://www.olf.no/rapporter/category229.html ISO 15926

Harmonizing the E&P terminology Integrating the terminology from the different business domains in E&P Logistics DrillingDevelopmentProduction Operation & Maintenance Transport HSSE Contains dictionaries, taxonomies and ontologies for relevant business processes in E&P sector Integrating HSE dialects across E&P sector Integrating drilling dialects Integrating development dialects Integrating production dialects Integrating logistic dialects Integrating O&M dialects Integrating transportation dialects Creating a common terminology for the E&P sector From local domain data standards to an oil and gas ontology The oil & gas ontology (www.posccaesar.com)www.posccaesar.com

PCA’s RDS contains The Oil & Gas Ontology (OGO) - maintenance and enhancement The reference data (ontology) is available free of charge at PCA’s Reference Data System (RDS) RDS consists of 3 parts – ISO, WIP and submission area The RDS is linked up to Internet and all technologies and services of the Web are available. Special Interest Groups maintain and enhance the different domains of the ontology Web services Browser 3,4,..
14
PCA is building up an organization Focus on projects 1997 – 2009 Focus on operations of PCA’s RDS – 2010+ From today - PCA will have focus on global membership Would you like to participate? Send an email to pca@posccaesar.com
