2 A BSTRACT  Stroke patient usually has the goal to maintain rehabilitation training, which is mainly to avoid physical function degeneration and to prevent the triggering of related complications.  Traditional rehabilitation equipment is very expensive and complicate. Meanwhile, Kinect sensing device is used to detect the body action of the patient, to perform face recognition and to recognize voice command.  Body sensing technique in electronic entertainment has realized the association of new era technology with rehabilitation medical care to set up virtual reality together with the use of Kinect to be applied in rehabilitation training for stroke patient. As compared to traditional expensive rehabilitation equipment, it has the advantages of low price and clinical practical utility. 2

3 INTRODUCTION  The rehabilitation applications of the action function for stroke patient include the following related researches: Creation of all kinds of rehabilitation exercise spots. Maximize the therapeutic action so that it will have cortical reorganization meaning. It can encourage the individual case the willingness to use the game, for example, through encouragement and competition, hence the goal of continuous rehabilitation training can then be reached. It provides real time information feedback. It set up quantifiable check point design function so that the data and result will be helpful to the real world. 3

4 INTRODUCTION  Generally, after stroke, patient usually has cerebral cortex functional barrier, for example, the impairment in the following capabilities, namely, language capability (listening, speaking, reading, writing and understanding capability), personality structure (character and response to a thing), memory power, abstract thinking, computing power and judgment power, etc..  Virtual reality is effective method when it is used in rehabilitation training, and researchers find good results in developing related applications. 4

5 RESEARCH METHOD A. Experimental architecture The system is mainly designed with rehabilitation action practice, then together with virtual reality, the simulation of the operation of ball receiving can then be achieved. In the task, Kinect sensor device is used to detect the limb action of the patient, to perform face recognition, and to identify voice command. 5
