AIRP contribution to IRPA Founding Member First International Congress organized in Rome in September 1966 and chaired by Mr Polvani Mr Polvani, IRPA Council Member since 1965, Vice–President 1970-1973 and President 1973-1977 First International European Congress organized in 2002 in Florence and chaired by Mr Osimani 2 nd IRPA Workshop on Radiation Protection Culture 10 th -11 th February 2011

“Polvani Bell” At the end of the Congress, Mr Polvani, chairman of the congress, presented the bell to IRPA Pro Tempore President to be used at the opening and closure sessions of the following IRPA Congresses. The “Polvani bell” was bought in a specialised shop for church articles in Rome by Mrs Lia Forti, Mr Polvani secretary. Mrs Forti was responsible of the organizing secretariat of first IRPA Congress in Rome in 1966. 2 nd IRPA Workshop on Radiation Protection Culture 10 th -11 th February 2011
