2 EMRA is the largest and oldest independent resident organization in the world. EMRA was founded in 1974 and today has a membership of nearly 13,000 residents, medical students, fellows, and alumni. 1992 = Medical Student Section formed. 1994 = First Medical Student Forum. 2015 = More than 2,500 student members.
