Minimum Course requirements 22 Credits 4 units of English and Social Studies 3 units each of Math and Science 2 units of PE-one course each year 1 unit of Language other than English (LOTE) 1 unit of Fine Art Health (1/2 unit) Strategies for Success (1/2 unit) Additional Elective Courses (3 units)

NEW YORK STATE DIPLOMA TYPES Regents Diploma Regents with Advanced Designation Diploma Local Diploma (option only for classified students) IEP Diploma

Regents Diploma Exam Requirements 5 Regents exams with score of 65 or higher –Math (usually Algebra I) –Science –Global History & Geography –U.S. History & Government –Comprehensive English

Regents with Advanced Designation Diploma Pass the main 5 Regents exams plus: Geometry and Algebra 2 Trigonometry Includes Living Environment and one Physical Setting exam LOTE Regents or complete a 5 credit sequence of specific courses

Honors Diplomas NYS recognizes 1.Regents Diploma with Honors 2.Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation with Honors These diplomas recognize students whose Regents exams average 90 or higher for the type of diploma they are receiving

Local Diploma Available only for Classified Students (IEP or specified on 504 Plan) Course Requirements are same as for Regents Diploma Safety net exam options apply

Safety Net Exams CURRENT GRADES 10-12 OPTIONS 55-64 on Regents exams OR passing RCT scores RCT exams: Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Global History, U.S. History CURRENT 9 TH GRADE 55-64 on Regents (no RCT option)

FINE ART REQUIREMENT The one credit of fine art may be met by taking: Studio Art DDP (Design and Drawing for Production) Music Course (Chorus, Band, Orchestra)

TRANSCRIPT Grades were converted from Letter and Point System to Percentages Current grades on transcript are unweighted At end of this year, AP/IB courses will be adjusted X 1.05
