2 STUDENTS WORK IN GROUPS OF 3 OR 4 GROUP GRADE: SLOGAN, LOGO, BASIC FLYER INDIVIDUAL GRADES: LETTER TO COMMUNITY LEADERS OR SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION ORAL PRESENTATION WITH VISUAL POWERPOINT THAT OUTLINES DETAILS OF THE CAMPAIGN GETTING THE MESSAGE OUT: POSTER WITH SLOGAN AND LOGO FOR THE CAMPAIGN; T-SHIRT DESIGN; FLYERS; WEB SITE (TWO OF THESE WILL BE REQUIRED IF WORKING IN A GROUP OF 4.) SCHEDULE APRIL 27-MAY 1: INTRODUCTION TO PERSUASION AND PRACTICE IN IDENTIFYING PERSUASIVE ELEMENTS **USE AN EXISTING CAMPAIGN AS THE BASE MAY 7,8: GROUPS, SELECTION OF TOPIC, RESEARCH IN LAB **REVIEW OF EXISTING CAMPAIGNS IN THEIR TOPIC AREA, RELEVANT STATISTICS/FACTS, MAY 11-13: CONTINUE IN THE LAB MAY 14-15; MAY 18-20: CREATING THE ELEMENTS IN CLASS. /LIBRARY/LAB NEEDED. MAY 21-22; MAY 25 (MEMORIAL DAY); MAY 26-27: PRESENTATIONS IN CLASS MAY 28-29 REVIEW FOR FINAL EXAM (OR A FINAL POEM/STORY/WHATEVER)

EACH “SECTION” LISTED MUST HAVE AT LEAST ONE SLIDE, AND BETTER PROJECTS WILL HAVE SEVERAL. AS A RESULT OF YOUR CAMPAIGN, WHAT? WILL YOUR CAMPAIGN LEAVE BEHIND A CLUB/GROUP/CONTINUING CAMPAIGN?
