BINDER All students are required to keep a binder. Binders are expected to be organized and neat. Papers are usually pre- punched in order to make this easier.

HOMEWORK Requirements Pencil unless otherwise directed Late homework (work is due in class) will be accepted with penalty (50% of earned grade if turned in within 5 school days) Usually homework will be started and, most likely, finished in class Use proper heading Proper Heading Name Date Period (upper right corner) Description (centered on top line)

TESTS & QUIZZES TESTS Tests are usually based on 100 points and given at the end of most units/chapters. Study the information from class, the homework, previous quizzes, and the textbook. QUIZZES Quizzes are usually based on 50 points. These cover smaller sections of information.

PROJECTS Projects are assigned throughout the year. These may be group or individual projects, as determined by the teacher. Some may be small in-class projects, while others may be more elaborate projects that require outside work.

It is my hope that your child will gain knowledge of the many cultures of the world and learn to embrace, appreciate, and accept these cultures. I am here to help your child better understand our planet and enjoy social studies.

T-Shirt Orders We are ordering team t- shirts. We will wear these shirts on field trips, special days, and other random days. Orders were due today. I will still accept these tomorrow. I have some extra forms if you would like to order one tonight. The shirts are the Sixth Grade Wonders design. If you have a financial difficulty, please send me an email and I will work with you to get a t- shirt for your child.
