Burger King Scholars Program January 10 th, 2013. This program has awarded more than 17,000 scholarships to high school students. Recipients are selected based on their grade point average (2.0 or higher), work experience, extracurricular activates and/ or community service. 2013 PHADA Scholarship PHADA will award 3 scholarships to deserving youth currently residing is a PHAADA agency. Applicant must be a high school senior. Applications are due to PHADA by January 28 th, 2013.

The NAVY ROTC Scholarship This scholarship is valued at approximately $180,000 over a 4 year period this includes tuition, books plus instructional and lab fees. Applicants must meet a minimum SAT or ACT criteria of: Math 520, Verbal 530, or ACT: Math21, English 22. SAT AND SAT SUBJECT TEST REGISTRATION FOR THE 2012-2013 SCHOOL YEAR SAT Test Registration Fee is $50.00. Late registration fee is $27.00. Fee waivers are available for students who qualify for free or reduced lunch. If you are not enrolled in the federal (FRPL) program see your counselor for other guidelines to see if you qualify for a fee waiver. Grades (11-12) are allowed two(2) fee waivers for the subject test, and four (4) college application fee waivers. Please see your counselor before registering for the SAT and information.

ACT TEST REGISTRATION FOR THE 2012-2013 SCHOOL YEAR Test Date: February 9, 2013 Registration Deadline: January 11, 2013 Late Registration Deadline: January 12-18, 2013 The site is Purnell Swett. ACT Test Registration Fee is $50.50 (Plus writing) $35.00 (No writing). Late registration fee is $22.00. Grades (11-12) are eligible for fee waivers. Fee waivers are available for students who qualify for free or reduced lunch. Indian Education - 9 th & 10 th graders Indian Education is recruiting 9 th and 10 th grade students to attend the Colorado Upward Bound Program. The Colorado Upward Bound Program is a 6 week college preparatory program sponsored by the University of Colorado in Boulder Colorado. The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is currently gearing up for the 2013 Heels for Success program. What is Heels for Success? A one-day program to help academically-talented sophomores and juniors prepare for college.

Who is eligible for nomination? Designed for high achieving rising sophomores and juniors from diverse backgrounds, including underrepresented students, first-generation college students, and those from rural areas disadvantaged backgrounds. Students should be academically motivated, rank in the top 10% of their class, be enrolled in a curriculum that includes(or will include) AP/IB/dual enrollment courses, foreign language and advanced mathematics. Your counselor will be nominating students in early January. See your counselor for more information.
