8. Taking Efficiency to the Next Level 8 In summary, current drought response actions include turf conversions, enhanced leak detection, fixture replacements, central plant changes, and expanded use of recycled water. Scaling Up Water Efficiency o Most UC campuses have already completed all water efficiency projects that they can self-finance with a combination of internal borrowing plus external rebates. o To enable further investments in water efficiency, the UC Office of the President is working to establish a financing program similar to our award-winning energy efficiency program.
