Do now 1.Turn in your MSP book, variables sheet, and the procedures work from last week (NOT THE ONES FOR TODAY) IN YOUR GROUPS (QUIET TALKING)

Getting your materials 1.A – Come to me to get your substance 2.B – Go and get your “plates” 3.C – Get your Kit from the back 4.D – Will get their lettuce seeds in a bit. TEACHER (TALK WHEN CALLED ON)

Serial Dilution Add 100 mL of water to the beaker. Add your substance and mix. This is your 100% solution TEACHER (TALK WHEN CALLED ON)

Serial Dilution Take 10 mL of your 100% solution and add it to 90 mL of water (this is your 10% solution). Take 10 mL of your 10% solution and add it to 90 mL of water (this is your 1% solution). TEACHER (TALK WHEN CALLED ON)

Serial Dilution You should now have a 100%, 10%, and 1% solution. The 0% is water! TEACHER (TALK WHEN CALLED ON)

Plastic Bag Get a ziplock and label it with your group member names and period. TEACHER (TALK WHEN CALLED ON)

Time for the lab! Use your procedures to conduct the lab! TEACHER (TALK WHEN CALLED ON)

Clean up! 1.A – Cover your “plate” in seran wrap and put it in your bag. Return it to the kit. 2.B – Clean out your beakers & cylinders. 3.C – Clean up your desk area. 4.D – Clean up your desk area. TEACHER (TALK WHEN CALLED ON)
