5. New National Curriculum Launched in September 2014 Years 2 and 6 complete their Key Stage work Expectations are raised e.g. maths Subjects are more ‘discrete’ There is some prescription (e.g. Roman Numerals, GPS) and also some choice, (e.g. English genres)

7. Homework Given out on Friday, back the following Tuesday please! Weekly activities – some project work Plan tasks over the time given Reading to an adult, ideally every night– please make a note in your child’s Reading Record Weekly spellings and times tables

8. Uniform Smart uniforms please – named (especially jumpers!) Book bags in house colour PE kits in on Mondays – named. Children should have outdoor trainers & indoor plimsolls / trainers and school tracksuit Letters to communicate any issues, or telephone call to the office if change of collection arrangements

9. Snacks and Lunch Please ensure a water bottle & healthy snack is brought in As a school we encourage healthy eating and appreciate your support with healthy lunches. (School lunch FREE to KS1) If you have any concerns that your child may not be eating properly, or finishing all their lunch, please let us know.
