Version 16 2 Main change – new clients New clients for Cataloging, Acquisitions and Serials (new Circ client available from 15.2). Search no longer a separate client – part of Cataloging, Acquisitions/Serials and Circ modules. Serials has been incorporated within Acquisitions.

Version 16 11 New features - GUI New ability to copy/paste data from the text lists in all GUI modules. The “Enter Unicode value option” is available in all edit boxes Now various alternatives for IP station identification identification: –Station ID –External IP adress –Internal IP address GUI now uses HTML templates for display of data. All old display tables are no longer used.

Version 16 12 Web OPAC A new column for an external link has been added to the Brief Display format of records in the WEB OPAC.

Version 16 13 Cataloging Document length increased from 2000 lines to 5000. There is still a server limitation of 45000 characters. Check that the record won’t exceed 45000 characters, before sending it to the server. If so an error will be displayed (to avoid GUI crash) and the operation will stop.

Version 16 14 Cataloging Unicode is now stored in UTF-8 (used to be in US7ASCII). It is now possible to view the value of a character by placing the mouse pointer over it. A tool tip with the Unicode value of the character will display.

Version 16 16 Circulation A picture ID can be attached to a user record. The picture can be updated on-line using the “update picture” button

Version 16 17 Circulation The new SIP2 server replaces the SC server. This server now supports the 3M Standard Interchange Protocol Version 1.00 and 2.00.

Version 16 18 Advanced Booking in Circ Hold requests are now sensitive to ‘short loan’ items. A ‘Booking Schedule List’ will open instead of the standard Hold Request window.

Version 16 19 Acquisitions – Order arrival Upon the FIRST arrival of an order, a message can now be sent to the initiator of the order. Previously the options were: –Create hold –Send directly –No action

Version 16 20 Invoicing When a new invoice is created, or an existing one is modified, and the actual unit price exceeds the estimated unit price by more than a defined percent, an alert message displays

Version 16 21 Acquisitions - VAT On the general invoice, a new flag allows for defining Y/N for VAT per line item. Budget summary also gives VAT breakdown

Version 16 23 Course Reading A new summary list by instructor gives –All course linked to an instructor –Bib info attached to them. Data Rights Access for E-reserve usage. It was developed for interaction with the "Course Reading" module, but can be used in any other environment in the system.

Version 16 25 E-reserves The DRA system deals with three different cases: a.An object can be seen without any restrictions. b.An object can be seen with the approval of copyrights statement. c.An object can be seen only if the borrower is registered to the specific Course that the object is attached to.

Version 16 57 Statistics The Z00R records are created by the “Update Short Bibliographic Record” (p_manage_07) batch process that also creates the short record (Z13). This service is available from the Build Indexes to the Catalog option of the Services menu in the Cataloging and Search modules.

Version 16 60 Action Log A new Action Log window displays all log transactions that match certain defined conditions. The order button allows the user to jump from each log message to the related order.

Version 16 61 Claims The claim window has been enhanced. When a claim is sent to a vendor, the print format and date are recorded in the order log.
