PTA may help “manage conditions such as back and neck injuries, sprains/strains and fractures, arthritis, burns, amputations, stroke, multiple sclerosis, birth defects, injuries related to work and sports, and others”. …(www.apta.org)

Accredited by CAPTE 5 semesters Admission is competitive Need 40 hrs of observation time (prior to application deadline) Application obtained post checklist from division counselor at face to face appt after Feb. 15, 2010. Due May 2010. A A S

PTHA 1201 BIOL 2401 (within last 7 years or less) Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or *higher Math 0308 or higher with C or better (or place higher than Math 0308 on testing) Eligible to enroll in ENGL1301

Complete as many non-PTHA course within the degree as possible with A’s or B’s. Re-take BIOL 2401 and BIOL 2402 if you received a C or less. Turn in all paperwork on-time.

1 st Semester – 12 credit hours/10 work hours 2 nd Semester – 16 credit hours/0 work hours 3 rd Semester – 10 credit hours/40 work hours when classes are not held. 4 th Semester – 13 credit hours/10 work hours 5 th Semester – 10 credit hours/20 work hours

Graduate students who are well-trained, pass the licensure examination and provide quality care to the people of Texas, under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
