Bicycle Friendly Community The Bicycle Friendly Community Program provides incentives, hands-on assistance, and award recognition for communities that actively support bicycling. Tampa Example- (con’t) Walk/Bike Plan Projects identified/prioritized by this effort will be used to: Allocate City tax revenues (i.e. local option gas tax, capital infrastructure sales tax). Identify right-of-way needs and opportunities within City, County, and FDOT resurfacing projects and other public works projects. Identify projects along the major road network eligible for Federal “Enhancement” funds or Federal Highway Safety Program funds. Design/Policy/Planning
