Reinforcement of the WBC research capacities Participant profile: The coordinator should be a legal entity based in one of the WBC

Scope of the action The action should give the WBC the possibility to improve the research capacities of highest quality and/or promising centres, in the priorities of FP6. These include: Reinforcing their S&T potential, Supporting and mobilising the human and material resources, Disseminating scientific information as well as the results of research, facilitating communication between the centres having similar scientific interest and, Improving their responses to socio-economic needs of the Western Balkan countries and the whole region.

Priorities of the call Networking with other research centres in Member States or Associated States (including Associated Candidate Countries) and WBC, Visiting fellows (teachers and/or researchers): hosting scientists from abroad for teaching, training and/or research activities, Training in Member States or Associated State (including Associated Candidate Countries) for Ph.D. students and/or post-doctoral researchers: sending scientists from the centre for short stays, to laboratories abroad, Hiring of new young researchers to reinforce the human potential, Maintenance, upgrading and/or renewal of the S&T equipments.

Deliverables Contribution to RTD capacity building in the country,
Enhanced participation of the country in the Framework Programme, Increased scope (regional coverage, subjects, activities) of the Centres with increased linkage with economic and social environment, Networking with other research centres in Member States (MS) or Associated State (including Associated Candidate Countries) and WBC, Increased job opportunities in the country.

Evaluation Procedure Evaluation is in one single step evaluation
Anonymity is not required Eligible partnership = 1 legal entity from WBC We want to attract experts with high level of professional experience Evaluators invited to panels for Ips and NoEs will participate in hearings with the consortia In which case they do not remain anonomynous Experts have to sign a confidentiality and conflict of interest declaration names of experts who participated in an evaluation will be published (global list, official webpage) not the assignment to specific proposals but probably by a whole thematic priority
