Top tips For “what if” and data analysis scenarios, utilize Export to Microsoft Excel Utilize conditional formatting to highlight data for reporting and presenting data Ad-hoc reports should always be run on a “near line” (mirrored) system to shift load off production system Filter to a subset of data before export. Avoid exporting and manipulating huge sets of data Calculations can’t be used in tracked datasets, but calculated values can be copied and pasted Creating templates and generating Office documents may be easier than creating new reports Office Add-ins can be used for simple data import, but consider other alternatives such as Rapid Start for data migration
