As of September of 2012 Apple had sold over 350 Million I-Pod Touches and I- Pad’s. As of January of 2013 Apple reported that there were about 775,000 apps that are on their I-Pod Touches and I-Pad’s. As of January 2013 there had been over 40 billion apps downloaded.

Apple uses only one platform for their apps, while android has so many types of phones and software that they use several platforms. So it is easier to create an app for Apple than it is to create an app for android
