9 College Application Process How to Obtain a transcript and counselor recommendation Step 3 1.Complete the Rockville High School “Transcript Request Checklist” 2.Obtain parent and student signature 3.Turn the form in to Ms. Mendez, Counseling Secretary

11 How to Obtain a teacher recommendation We encourage students to approach teachers in person when asking for a recommendation. Follow-up with an email request through the Naviance Program Follow the Senior Year Checklist

14 Which tests are required SAT ACT Accuplacer 1. Most colleges take the SAT or ACT 2. You can take these tests again this fall 3. The Accuplacer will be given at RHS. It may be necessary if your SAT/ACT scores are too low. We have a handout that describes each test

19 Walking around the campus can give you a feel for what a college is really like. Visit Colleges Get the most from your visit Ask  for a guided tour  for an interview with admissions  to visit classes  about security Check out the  library  student union  dormitories
