Al-Shabab Claimed they were Responsible Al-Shabab says they did this in retaliation because of Kenyan forces in Somalia attacking Muslims. Al-Shbab is a Somalia-based militant Islamist terrorist group. Many of the quarry workers were from the south where there are mostly Christians. Al-Shabab killed 28 non-Muslims on a bus last week. Al-Shabab was responsible for killing 67 people in a Nairobi mall last year. Somali Prime Minister condemned the killings and wants to fight terrorism. The Kenyan government is being blamed for not protecting its nation.
